Search Light Inc. is a not for profit organisation dedicated to helping disadvantaged children and young people to achieve their full potential, by helping them to overcome barriers to education and empowering them to participate fully in the social, cultural and economic life of our community.
What do we do?
Search Light Inc. works directly with two community access schools, Southside Education in Sunnybank and the Hymba Yumba Community Hub in Springfield, to provide support for the students through funding programs to promote mental health, nutrition and general health and wellbeing and through personal support, vocational support, fundraising, mentoring and management of a co-located crèche for the care of the student’s children.
Christmas Appeal 2011
Many of our families need extra help at Christmas. We are running a Christmas Appeal from the 14th November to the 7th December 2011. If you can help by providing children’s gifts or food for Christmas hampers please contact Nicola Free on ph: 0402 504 279 or email nicolafree123@gmail.com.
