The Hymba Yumba Community Hub, embedded in Indigenous Culture provides a unique opportunity to participate in a new approach to education and community development for indigenous young people and their families. Our school is grounded in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Culture and follows key principles of the Searchlight Education model, developed at Southside Education over many years. Hymba Yumba is based on the key Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander value of Respect for Self, Family, Community and Country and the Searchlight principle of unconditional positive regard.
