Official opening of new building

31 March 2015

On the 31st March we celebrated the official opening of the new Southside Family Centre and Crèche premises located in the newly built ‘Numberlee Kunerra Learning Place’ at Carinity Education – Southside.

Having the Crèche located onsite at the school offers enormous benefits for young mothers, including accessible child care, family support services and easy access for breastfeeding. The new Crèche is a wonderful facility and Search Light Inc. is very thankful to Carinity Education – Southside for providing this warm and stimulating environment for the children to learn and play.

The learning centre has been named in the language of the Sunnybank school’s traditional owners, the Jagera people. Numberlee Kunerra is Jagera for “all one” and embraces Carinity’s community philosophy to schooling.
